KEVIN WARD | TATTOO ARTIST
Kevin is a Montreal based Tattoo Artist and Owner of The Psych Ward Tattoo Studio. Kevin began his journey into the art world at an early age. Kevin is what you would have called a ‘Jack of all Trades’ Jobs varied from tossing Pizzas to Construction, air brushing amusement rides to spinning vinyls. Along with his passion for art and a desire to make a living and provide for his family, he ordered a tattoo kit online. Hundreds of pig skins later and some super supportive friend’s skin, his journey began.
He worked at a few different shops in the Montreal area. His experiences helped him determine what was important to run a successful shop while supporting and inspiring his fellow artists. Kevin has been featured on-line and named one of Montreal’s best Tattoo Artists. Although his art speaks for itself, his love for his clients and the passion he puts into each piece is what makes him so special.
Kevin opened The Psych Ward Tattoo Shop in March of 2017 with his Father and Eric by his side helping him to bring his vision to life. Eric has been his right-hand man since it all began!

SAM RUEST | TATTOO ARTIST
Sam was also a client of Kevin’s for years. He would come to get a tattoo almost once a week learning visually much in the same fashion as I had when I began. Sam is mostly self-taught. Sam worked as a Machinist before getting into tattooing.
He joined the team shortly after it opened and never looked back at working in the machine shop. He always had a natural ability to learn quickly. Sam Is a huge Montreal Canadians hockey fan and loves cars! He is very confidence in his work and a chill guy. He does Black and grey realism and anything dark and creepy. Anything you’d see in your nightmares; he’d love to do!
TAMI CLARK | TATTOO ARTIST
Like many young teenagers, Tami got her first tattoo at the age of 18. And just like a potato chip, stopping at one seemed impossible. She was hooked, but it took another 20 years, before she realized that combining her love for drawing with her fascination of tattoos would present the most satisfying and life-changing career choice that she so longed for.
After spending many years chasing music and acting, going to university and eventually starting a family with her hubby Matt, the career Gods finally spoke in early 2019. She took a leap a faith, left her career and jumped on the opportunity to begin a tattoo apprenticeship with Kevin at the Psych Ward. Having been a regular customer at the shop, being on the other side of the chair felt completely natural.
Tami is ready to take on any project you might throw at her as she continues to develop skills in a wide range of styles. She is by far the sweetest and prettiest in the shop!
